Heidi AKA
The Salty Nanny

Heidi is a life long animal lover and has kept the company of many a species including cats, dogs, bearded dragons, chickens, fish, goats, horses, and occasional rescued wildlife including a baby squirrel, an injured porcupine, and a hit by car Cormorant. Don't worry, she didn't keep them. They were all brought to licensed wildlife rehab facilities for proper care and eventual release.

While working for a veterinary hospital, she realized the need for a cats only boarding facility and established the Cats Pajamas, a cozy and calm home away from home for felines with special medical needs. After relocating to the farm in Waldoboro, she and her family established Almost Edible Soaps, a soap and body product company that's  main ingredient -goat milk- was produced by a herd of very loved Dwarf Nigerian goats. The goats have since retired and lounge about the farm enjoying their golden years occasionally teasing the draft horses in the next pasture over just for fun. They are bratty goats after all.

Heidi has had a number of "professional jobs" throughout the years as well- Executive Administrator, Database Manager, and Realtor to name a few. Alas, her animal addiction always calls her back, therefore, The Salty Nanny Pet Companion was launched.

The combination of Heidi's professional skills and practical animal experience ensures you can rely on her to provide professional, dependable, timely service and that your animals will be well cared for whether on a walk, tucked in at home, or spending some time on our family farm.
